Planting Instructions
Dahlias grow from a root called a tuber. They were first discovered in the mountains of Mexico. Tubers should be planted in late spring. By mid July or early August plants will begin blooming and will continue to bloom until the first heavy frost. Plants have from 10 to 75 blooms depending on the bloom size. By the fall, plants will have produced on the average, 3 to 5 new tubers which may be dug and stored, or left in the ground for early blooms next year.
